This page explains what information Tavvi collects, how it's used, and who has access to it.We believe in being straight with you — the same way Tavvi gives you straight answers about EVs.---What Tavvi CollectsWhen you have a conversation with Tavvi, you may share information about your situation so Tavvi can give you a personalised recommendation. This might include:- Your daily commute distance
- Where you park at home (garage, driveway, street, apartment)
- Whether you have solar panels or a home battery
- Your state or territory
- Your vehicle budget or financing preferences
- What you currently drive
- Whether you need to tow
- Your general vehicle preferencesTavvi does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any financial account details during the advisory conversation.If you choose to connect with Nicholas (the founder) for personal advisory after your Tavvi conversation, you'll be asked to share contact details at that point — and only with your explicit consent.---How Your Information Is ProcessedTavvi currently runs on OpenAI's ChatGPT platform. This means:- Your conversations are processed by OpenAI's infrastructure
- OpenAI's own privacy policy applies to how conversation data is handled on their platform
- You can review OpenAI's privacy policy at openai.com/policies/privacy-policyIf you use Tavvi through ChatGPT with a free or Plus account, OpenAI may use your conversations to improve their models unless you opt out via Settings → Data Controls in your ChatGPT account.As the builder of Tavvi's Custom GPT, Nicholas (the founder) does not have access to your individual conversations. OpenAI does not share individual chat logs with Custom GPT creators.---Third-Party ServicesTavvi uses the following third-party service to enhance your experience:Google Places API — When Tavvi helps you find nearby EV charging stations, it sends a location-related query to Google's Places API. This query includes the search terms relevant to your request (for example, "EV charging stations near Epping, NSW") but does not include your personal details. Google's privacy policy applies to how Google handles this data: policies.google.com/privacyTavvi does not use advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or third-party analytics on the asktavvi.com website.---How Your Information Is UsedInformation shared during your Tavvi conversation is used solely to:- Provide you with personalised EV recommendations

Tavvi does not share your information with dealerships, manufacturers, finance providers, or any other third party for marketing purposes.Aggregate insights: Over time, we may analyse patterns across conversations in aggregate — for example, "most users ask about charging anxiety" or "novated leasing is the top financing question" — to improve Tavvi's knowledge and advice. This analysis uses trends and categories, not individual conversations.---Data Storage and RetentionTavvi does not operate its own database or store your conversation data independently. Your conversation data is held by OpenAI in accordance with their data retention policies.For the asktavvi.com website, Carrd (our website host) may collect basic server logs such as IP addresses and page views. Carrd's privacy policy applies: carrd.co/privacyIf you provide your contact details to Nicholas for personal advisory, those details are stored securely and used only for the purpose of providing you with EV buying advice.
